Day 7 planned schedule:
- Run tutorials 3 (Servo control), 4 (Obstacle avoidance), and 5 (follow mode).
- Challenges: for tutorial 3, change the angle of progression of the servo moving the camera. For tutorial 4, change program to randomly scan left or right when looking for a clear path after encountering an obstacle. For tutorial 5, change closing distance when following, and speed of car based on distance from followed object.
The tutorials and challenges were straightforward for the participants. All had gone well, we were ready to move into preparing for the competition on the last day.
By this time, I decided to forego the English part of the class, and rely on direct communication as a tool to improve the English communication with the participants.
